PROCEDURE

OF APPLICATION
Application must
be made on the prescribed available in the prospectus only.
Application Complete in all respects must be sent under Registered
A.D. cover addressed to Principal Mata Gujri Institute of Nursing.
Sangrur or in person at the Counter during office working hours.
1.
Attested copies of educational qualification etc. with
mark sheet.
2.
Attested copies of testimonials from the head of the
institutions last attended.
3.
Three resent passport size photographs (one photograph
duly posted on the application form).
4.
An undertaking parent/Guardian ensuring to meet all
financial obligations of the candidate during her training period.
5.
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled terrible certificate from
Tehsildar or
6.
A certificate of equivalency, if required.
7.
List of visitors with their photographs and specimen
signatures, who may be allowed to visit the candidate during her
stay in hostel/Training period.
8.
Medical fitness will be pre-conditions to the course
of the school. Selected candidates are medically examined by the
school doctors.
ELIGIBILITY
FOR RECRUITMENT
(a)
Fresh Candidate
1. Age: The candidate shall
be 17yrs. Or more up to 31-12-2009.
2. Minimum Qualification : Minimum Qualification shall be 12 yrs of
Schooling (10+2) or its Equivalent with(40% for SC/ST).
3.
Medical : Candidate
should be medically fit.
4.
Preference : Preference shall be given to those who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent
with science subjects i.e. Physics, chemistry $ Biology.
Methods
of selection:
Eligible
candidates will be called for interview before a board constituted
by the management committee of the institute.
Duration
of the course:
The duration of
the course for General Nursing & Midwifery is for a period of 3
years and after this diploma course, students get themselves
registered with State Nurses Registration Council as per their
Normal procedure of conducting the examination.
Eligibility for final examination :
To be eligible for admission to
annual examination, the students should have:-
(a)
Attended not
less then 75% of the total classes for each paper (Lectures,
Practicals and Field Work.)
(b)
Completed
the practical training requirements.
(c)
Records of
practical experience, duly completed and signed by the principal.
(d)
Pursued a
regular course of studies for a minimum period of 11 months in a
year.
(e)
Met the
field experience requirement.
Marks
for each paper
Marks
required for passing shall be 50% aggregate
(internal, External and Practical)
Distinction
80% and above
First
Class Standing
70% and Above
Second
Class Standing
60% to 69.99% marks
Third
Class Standing
50% to 59.99% marks
For
each paper the marks required for distinction shall be 75% and above
in the aggregate (Internal & External)
